Get Moving Kentucky is proud to announce the addition of William Gates Jr of IronWill Running as our Official Running Coach and content contributor.
He will have a weekly column where he can answer any running related questions from those who are new to running or even the more experienced runner. He’ll also be organizing several unique virtual races.
Will is a Certified USATF and RRCA Running Coach. He has a training philosophy based on proper form, injury prevention techniques, strength training, consistent work, proper nutrition, allowing recovery, which lead to desired results.
Not only is he an advocate of movement through running, he is also a certified personal trainer and certified yoga instructor.
He’s been running for over a decade and fortunately has not had any running related injuries due to proper mechanics, injury prevention techniques and so on – which proves that he can help you enjoy a life of healthy running, fitness and personal achievements.
Will started running competitively and long distances at the end of 2009. He completed IronMan Louisville in 2010, along with several other long distance races. He’s a Boston qualifier and has won two 60km Ultra marathons. He most recently ran 10 marathons in 10 days.
